Muse Fusion

Comment here with prompts for our Torn World creatjve team!

Edit:  I meant to do this last night, but my too-tired brain let the bed seduce me...Anyway, this Muse Fusion is closed to prompts, though our Creators are still creating.  If you have any more questions, or stories you'd like to see, you're always welcome to stop by the Forums at www.tornworld.net and comment to any of the threads or start a new one.

I hope to see you there!

In honor of our upcoming anthology -- which will be a beautiful volume showcasing some of our best stories and art -- the theme this month is:

Family, by  Blood and by Choice

Please share your prompts and questions about children, parents, grandparents, extended families, siblings, coming of age, creating families, etc.

February was a difficult month to schedule the Muse Fusion; I'm leaving the post open for prompts until sometime Sunday, and the creators of Torn World will be working as they have time.  Notably, Ellen had conflicts for nearly all of the month, so she will be picking up prompts on Monday.  Feel free to bookmark this post and check back over the next few days to see what we're up to!

I'm planning to start writing or drawing as soon as I get  this post up and the first prompts posted!  You're welcome to join me.

I'll also have a chat room open all weekend, if my computer cooperates.  Feel free to stop by and ask what I'm working on, ask questions, or share what you're working on.  http://tinychat.com/tornworld

Let us know what you want to see in the anthology or on the site! Do you want to know what a character's opinion on a subject is? Want to see a particular plant or animal in action? Maybe you'd like to hear a dialogue between two characters on a particular topic! Prompts can be specific, or general, though we do ask you relate them to the theme. One-word prompts are welcome, as are picture prompts or links. Cross-over fanfiction can be requested, though not all participants may be interested in creating it. The only major restriction for prompts is that they should be appropriate to Torn World and available to all participants (no specifying that a particular participant write your prompt).

Please keep in mind that rough drafts created from our Muse Fusion will be going through a review process to maintain overall world continuity - any drafts shared with you during the Muse Fusion may be changed before being posted as canon contributions.

Also, if you do something you hope we'll consider for the anthology, remember we're on a very tight deadline--we plan to have finalized selections for the book by mid-March.  Polish and submit it right away!  (Contributors guidelines are at www.tornworld.net)
